Stephen Bittel's Career Dedication

Stephen Bittel is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Terranova Corporation. He grew up in Miami, in Southern Florida City. Stephen Bittel went to Miami Palmetto Senior High School and later joined Bowdoin College Arts School in Maine, Brunswick, where he graduated with a degree in Law.

Terranova Corporation was established in 1980 and is among the leading commercial real estate companies in Southern Florida. Stephen’s passion for business began when he was still a student at Miami University. He was employed at a commercial real estate company but demoted from a salaried employee to a commissioned one. As a result, Stephen quit and used the experience he had gained to open his own company, Terranova Corporation.

Since Terranova’s inception, Stephen Bittel has ensured the growth of its portfolio by focusing on shopping centers in developing various suburban markets. These shopping centers have partnered with some of the best companies like Walgreens, Starbucks, Publix, Payless Shoes, and Winn Dixie to capitalize on chain stores relationships as they grow and multiply leases with the same tenant. Terranova owns several industrial parks, office buildings, and multi-family and self-storage assets.

Stephen has served as a board director for many companies like the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, Chapman Partnership, and Jackson Memorial Hospital Foundation. In addition, he has been a trustee member for Temple Beth Am, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and United Way of Miami-Dade. Between 2009 and 2010, Bittel led Washington Mission, a federation of Greater Miami.

Besides entrepreneurship, Stephen Bittel has dedicated himself to the community and nation to ensure they become better places. He believes that the first step toward making a community better is providing the people designed to be leaders to take over any job position. He also writes about real estate matters and speaks at business conferences to enlighten people worldwide.
